• Conduct detailed assessments to understand each client’s mental health challenges, ensuring all information is accurate and comprehensive to inform treatment plans.
• Provide tailored individual therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques, enhancing the therapeutic experience and outcomes for clients.
• Collaborate with clients to establish mutual therapeutic goals, regularly reviewing their progress and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
• Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver engaging therapy sessions for clients preferring remote access, demonstrating adaptability to diverse client needs.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions and treatment progress to comply with ethical and regulatory responsibilities, ensuring a high standard of care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development activities, such as workshops and training seminars, to broaden your clinical skills and stay updated on the latest therapeutic techniques.

As a Mental Health Counselor at Alta Med, you will primarily focus on school-aged children and adolescents experiencing various mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, adjustment issues, and trauma-related experiences. Your role will involve creating a nurturing environment that promotes healing and resilience in these young patients.

• A current and valid state license, such as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field; candidates with a Master's or Doctoral degree are strongly preferred.
• Diverse and exceptional communication skills, enabling you to build strong therapeutic relationships and guide clients through their challenges.
• An empathetic and client-centered approach, demonstrating an understanding and non-judgmental attitude towards clients’ experiences.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail necessary for efficient caseload management and timely completion of administrative duties.

• Experience working with school-aged populations or in educational settings is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated success in delivering remote therapy and utilizing telehealth technologies effectively.
