Job description

Could you be the full-time onsite Test & Commissioning Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA, US we're looking for?

Your future role

"Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside collaborative and detail-oriented teammates.
You'll ensure onboard systems meet operational, safety, and performance standards before handover to operations, making a direct impact on the reliability and safety of rail transportation. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (system engineers, project managers, client representatives, and maintenance teams), troubleshoot integration issues, and mentor junior engineers, and much more."

We'll look to you for:

  • Leading validation and integration testing of signaling, control, communications, and onboard subsystems ,

  • Troubleshooting system integration issues and coordinating with design/development teams to resolve root causes ,

  • Overseeing commissioning phases, ensuring correct configuration and performance under real-world scenarios ,

  • Documenting results, tracking nonconformities (NCRs), proposing corrective actions, and capturing lessons learned (REX) ,

  • Enforcing safety, environmental, and quality standards at all times ,

  • Deploying and maintaining T&C processes and methods aligned with Alstom standards and project requirements ,

  • Executing functional, integration, and system-level tests of onboard systems according to approved test plans ,

  • Recording, analyzing, and interpreting test results while identifying deviations or anomalies and driving resolution ,

  • Planning and coordinating commissioning with engineering, operations, and maintenance stakeholders ,

  • Mentoring and developing junior T&C engineers"
