Rate of Pay: $126,360 - 135,000 per year.
Prepare and execute testing activities: In support of one or several projects on railway signaling systems under the direction of his/her hierarchy. According to the testing procedures/documentation and following Sub system T&C Leader and/or PrCOM instructions. Carry out the installation supervision of the works safely, in accordance with processes and approved procedures. Ensure all required installation documentation provided by designers, including instruction changes and modifications, is adequately recorded, reported, and approved. Participate in test planning and test activities. Meet scheduled requirements on own initiative and report when schedules are not achievable. Maintain a high level of quality in performing assigned tasks. Inspect own work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with requirements. Complete complex planning of detailed static and dynamic testing and commissioning field activities for Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) systems. Perform test activities and complete test records. Conduct troubleshooting during testing and commissioning phases for the tests in which he/she is engaged. Testing and commissioning of wayside design, including Wayside Interface Unit, ATS (Automatic Train Supervision) software releases, and onboard computer software releases. Support ATS, ATC (Automatic Train Control), and system tests using tools such as Wireshark, Python, WinSCP, Linux/Unix operating systems, and Data Communication Networks (TCP/IP protocol). Report all test and field work in a timely manner. Conduct deep troubleshooting of wayside/railway systems and equipment to identify root causes of failures and integration issues, and define containment and sustainable solutions, with support from the ITC Test Lead/System Integration Field Lead. In the event of a non conformity observed during installation or T&C phases, provide a return of experience (REX) to the project and ensure that all design related issues are correctly reported in the appropriate tools, including defect descriptions and associated test context. Ensure follow up of detected issues and deliver commissioning reports. Check that test tools are in perfect working order and calibrated. Deliver committed performance in terms of quality, costs, and deadlines, and in compliance with Alstom policies, local standards, and regulations (in particular EHS and Railway Safety). Conduct work planning, pre work safety briefs, post work debriefs, and escalate matters as required.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in an ITC Engineer-related occupation.
