Job description

Your future role

"Take on a new challenge and apply your procurement and negotiation expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside collaborative and results-driven teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations and successful project execution by developing procurement strategies and fostering strong supplier relationships. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (such as Quality, Project Management, and Operations), manage supplier negotiations and performance reviews, and much more."

We'll look to you for:

  • Deploying commodities strategy ,

  • Ensuring project execution in line with Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) objectives ,

  • Piloting local contractual relationships with suppliers ,

  • Identifying project and business needs ,

  • Preparing and launching Requests for Quotation (RFQ) with suppliers using the standard tool ,

  • Negotiating cost reductions with suppliers ,

  • Providing inputs for order placement and ensuring QCD target achievement, including CONQ (Cost Of Non-Quality) and claims management ,

  • Leading supplier performance reviews and managing initial issues before escalation ,

  • Consolidating commodity needs and actively participating in commodity strategy and panel elaboration ,

  • Supporting Commodity Managers in tender phases and representing commodities towards projects, platforms, and solutions"

  • Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Business Management, or a related field. ,

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to convince others. ,

  • Negotiation skills. ,

  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills. ,

  • Respect for ethical conduct and adherence to Alstom's Code of Ethics. ,
