Description:

TITLE:  Assistant Varsity Alpine Coach

Summary:

Following the mission of The Blake School and the core purposes of the athletic department, the Varsity Alpine assistant Coach will direct, serve, and coordinate the Blake School Alpine program.  

The Blake Boys & Girls Fencing Program competes in the Independent Metro Athletic Conference, which is part of the Minnesota State High School League.


The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

  • strong knowledge of alpine skiing
  • experience coaching with demonstrated success at the high school or post secondary level
  • passion for working with the high school athlete
  • ability to balance team building with individual skill building
  • integrity and fairness
  • a vision for the alpine ski program
Requirements:

Job Duties:

  • planning and coordinating all schedules and practice
  • player development
  • assist in selection of assistant coaches
  • provide on and off the ski hill training opportunities that include instruction, management, and teaching of all student/athletes
  • communicating to players and parents
  • guiding players interested in post secondary alpine opportunities through the process
  • other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director
