Job description

EHS & Facilities Coordinator

Alpha Resources | R&D Laminations

Alpha Resources is seeking a hands-on EHS & Facilities Coordinator to oversee environmental health & safety programs and facility maintenance across our three locations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing safety compliance, facility improvements, and problem-solving in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs, policies, and compliance efforts.
  • Conduct safety inspections, incident investigations, hazard assessments, and employee safety training.
  • Manage PPE, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), emergency preparedness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and compressed air.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Technician, internal departments, and outside contractors to complete repairs and facility projects.
  • Plan and oversee facility improvements, equipment installations, and building maintenance projects.
  • Maintain maintenance schedules, work orders, vendor relationships, and facility budgets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Three or more years of experience in EHS, facilities management, maintenance, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety programs, and building systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
