Job description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule material deliveries on-site when possible; otherwise, order material as needed but to coincide with monthly billings.
  • Sign materials in and out of the warehouse before deliveries.
  • Schedule and manage job site manpower.
  • Set expectations for productivity and quality daily.
  • Scope of work reviews and practices with job site personnel
  • Review safety procedures and follow through.
  • Daily job hazard analysis JHA's), Job Foreman) Super verifies this is being done daily.
  • Inspect projects before scheduling crews to verify that the project scope is ready for production.
  • Train all foremen for proper installation of each manufacturer's product before starting projects, and also train them to inspect for quality control.
  • Daily job site visits and attend weekly job site meetings (visits require communication with our customers before you leave the job site). Utilize daily logs for documentation of site visits and any issues encountered.
  • Keep all records up-to-date on our electronic job files and emails.
  • Keep up with weekly manpower schedules.
  • Utilize approved submittal, Spec-Data sheets, etc., to educate yourself about the materials we install.
  • Coordinate housing as needed for our crews.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance; must meet insurability standards.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university. (Preferred)
  • 3+ years' experience in fire-stopping materials, manufacturers, or related fields.

Physical demands:
  • This job requires the employee to regularly sit and communicate verbally or through listening.
  • Frequently required to use their hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; taste or smell.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
