Job description

Pay range: Starting at $75,000K+ with competitive on-target earnings (OTE), rewarding top performance without limits. 
Territory/Location: Portland 
The Account Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of agency sales and marketing efforts and is accountable to represent the agency in activities involving professional decision makers, professional contacts, physicians, and referral sources (including but not limited to facilities, senior living communities, hospitals, and professional groups). The Account Manager is responsible for educating and supporting the identification of available services for patients and families who are clinically appropriate and eligible to receive services. The Account Manager will be responsible for providing quality sales calls and educational meetings as a member of the marketing team, establishing, and maintaining positive relationships with customers and referral sources, responding to customer requests and concerns, and negotiating service contracts with managed care organizations, government agencies, and other payors. The Account Manager will be responsible for meeting and/or exceeding their monthly/quarterly admission goals, of clinically appropriate and eligible patients, set forth by Senior/Executive Management.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily marketing operations, sales calls and ongoing education with referral decision makers.
  • Facilitate education on guidelines and agency services provided.
  • Participate in community education events, including speaking to healthcare professionals and institutions to provide education on services offered by Mission Healthcare.
  • Coordinate with physician offices for necessary documentation, such as physician signature on orders, required addendums and other documents in a timely manner.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans, assist in establishing territory volume projections and monitor the allocation of resources according to budgetary limitations.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Mission Healthcare's markets including major payor groups, key referral sources and competitor's market positioning.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with referral and payor sources.
  • Monitor and report on cost-effective marketing efforts.
  • Remain educated and up-to-date on industry and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare sales, preferably in home health.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and public relations skills.
  • Ability to assertively market and deal tactfully with patients, their families and the community.
  • Demonstrate autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility and cooperation in performing job responsibilities.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle.
