As a Security Officer Unarmed Driver Patrol in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a cutting-edge aerospace and defense location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post, requiring patrol responsibilities across the location while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor information in accordance with site policies, and report suspicious behavior, restricted area violations, and/or facility issues.
  • Support assigned operations by observing environmental conditions, reporting maintenance and life-critical concerns, and following post orders and escalation procedures during routine and emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A current guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
