As an Armed Security Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will drive patrol routes, monitor assigned areas, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will respond to situations, communicate professionally with personnel and visitors, and support a welcoming environment. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do: * Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense flight-line location. * Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed. * Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned areas, including aircraft-adjacent spaces, access points, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries, helping to deter unauthorized activity. * Monitor access to restricted areas and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and vehicle access in accordance with site-specific requirements. * Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrol activities, and other security-related concerns, following Allied Universal and site procedures. Minimum Requirements: * Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience. * Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license. * Be at least 21 years of age. * A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. * Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. * Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. * Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. * As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. * Participate in industry-specific security training programs. * Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. * A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
