TELLER/CUSTOMER SUPPORT SPECIALIST-FLOAT

Overbrook, KS

First Security Bank is seeking an energetic and customer-service focused individual whose skills complement our dedicated team of banking professionals. As a community bank, we strive to support our customers and communities by providing exceptional service and the latest in banking products. Float position will need reliable vehicle to travel between branches located in Overbrook and Carbondale

Job Duties:

· Maintain teller records and perform all aspects of teller duties, including but not limited to: Receiving deposits and loan payments; verifying currency; cashing checks; issuing withdrawals and official checks; recording night and mail deposits; closing accounts; processing customer requests; educating customers about banking products and services.

· Cultivate relationships with customers to better assist them with their banking needs or inquiries.

· Build customer confidence and protect bank operations by keeping information confidential.

· Perform all aspects of account opening and maintenance, including personal and business accounts, by collecting applicable documentation.

· Cross-sell bank products by answering inquiries; inform customers of new services and product promotions; ascertain customers’ needs and connect them with an appropriate product or staff member who can provide an appropriate service.

· Comply with bank operations and security procedures by participating in all dual control functions; maintain customer traffic surveys; audit other tellers’ and vault currency; receive continuing education covering regulatory requirements, banking policies, and best practices.

· Full-time schedule to include opening, closing, and covering other branches as needed. This position requires reliable transportation and travel to three rural branch locations in Argonia, Conway Springs, and Norwich, with possible occasional travel to Wichita as well.

Preferred candidates will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six to nine months previous cash handling and customer service experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
