Paraprofessional (Levels 1, 2 & 3) | 2026-2027 School Year

Location: Kansas City, KS

Make a Difference in the Classroom

Allied OneSource Education is seeking dedicated and compassionate Paraprofessionals (Levels 1, 2, and 3) to support students and educators during the 2026-2027 school year in the Kansas City, Kansas area.

As a Paraprofessional, you will work alongside teachers and educational teams to provide academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and developmental support to students across a variety of educational settings. Opportunities are available in both general education and special education classrooms at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Support students in classroom, small-group, and one-on-one learning environments
  • Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities
  • Reinforce academic concepts and classroom expectations
  • Support students' behavioral, social, and emotional development
  • Assist with accommodations and modifications outlined in student learning plans and IEPs
  • Monitor student progress and communicate observations to teachers and support staff
  • Help create and maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
  • Prepare classroom materials and assist with daily classroom routines
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, therapists, and other support personnel
  • Provide personal care and mobility assistance when required by the assignment

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a classroom, educational, childcare, youth development, or related setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance

Preferred

  • Paraprofessional certification or district-required qualifications
  • College coursework in Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a related field
  • Experience supporting students with disabilities or diverse learning needs
  • Experience working in special education settings
  • Knowledge of classroom management and behavior support strategies

Position Details

  • Full-time school-year assignments
  • Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 opportunities available
  • Placement level determined by previous classroom experience and qualifications
  • Elementary, middle school, and high school assignments available
