Job description

This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. Incumbent serves as a visitor services representative and a sales store clerk at a Presidential Library and Museum. Handles online ticketing, admissions, responds to visitor queries about the library/museum and site, shows orientation film, makes sales of merchandise at the museum sales store desk, participates in the planning for acquisition of new items and has ongoing responsibilities in one or more areas.Qualifications:

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for the GS-04 grade level, You may qualify with one year of general experience. General experience for this position is defined as:

  • One full year of progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled.

OR
Education:

  • You may substitute education for general or specialized experience as follows: Completion of 2 academic years of post-high school study or an associate's degree. (This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.)

OR
Combination:

  • You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. To combine education and experience, the total percentage of experience at the required grade level compared to the experience requirement, as well as the percentage of completed education compared to the education requirement must equal at least 100 percent.
