Overview
 
Allied Beverage Group, the largest Wine & Spirits distributor in the state of New Jersey is looking for experienced CDL Delivery Drivers to deliver pre-sold products from our Distribution Center to our customer's place of business in a safe and timely manner.
 
Schedule: Tuesday - Friday 7:00 am to 5:30 pm
 
Responsibilities
 
Safety
- Must operate motor vehicle in a safe manner
- Must perform duties with safety as a mindset
Communication
- Must communicate discrepancies to customer and/or facilitate understanding of paperwork
- Must communicate with management personnel about delays and/or items that may delay subsequent delivery times
- Must communicate equipment issues to appropriate supervisory staff
Reliability
- Must report to work on time
- Must complete shift in an efficient manner
- Must follow procedures and adhere to company policies
Customer Service
- Must represent company values and behave professionally while interacting with diverse customer base
- Must exercise patience, avoid confrontation, and employ problem resolution techniques while addressing challenges
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Class B CDL Holder
  • 3+ years relevant delivery experience
  • Experience driving 24ft truck
  • Experience with route deliveries and customer interaction
  • Sufficient Communication skills - verbal, writing
Compensation and Benefits
 
The starting salary for this role is $25 per hour. This is a union position and is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. Benefits such as medical coverage, retirement plan, and paid time off are provided in accordance with the terms outlined in the agreement.
