Job description

Registered Nurse, Ambulatory Clinic - Allergy & Asthma

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Nurse to join our Allergy & Asthma team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary:

Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, scope of practice, along with recognized professional standards and Health Partner and employer specific protocols and policy.

Supports multiple areas within a clinic setting with strong interpersonal skill and flexibility while maintaining patient confidentiality and protecting patient rights. Resolves concerns or complaints regarding patient care or service.

Work Schedule:

M-F with rotating shifts 7:30-4/8:30-5. In addition to offsite coverage in Shakopee and Burnsville that mirror clinician schedule.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
    • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
    • Associate degree or diploma required
  • Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
    • Maintain a current Minnesota registered nurse's licensure.
    • WI licensure required where applicable.
    • Current BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines. On-line only BLS certification is not accepted.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development necessary to provide appropriate care to the patient population served and ensure safety of patients.
    • Possesses the qualities of strong critical thinking skills and ability to multi-task
    • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and maintain standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the Nurse Practice Act
    • Critical thinking, Excellent Interpersonal Skills, Fluent in EMR (EPIC) use
    • Understanding of Nursing Practice Act and Scope of Practice for various roles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
    • Bachelor's degree in nursing
    • Ambulatory Nursing Experience
    • 1 year of prior experience in nursing preferred
