Women's Hospital is a 134-bed hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina. It is part of Cone Health and is North Carolina's first free-standing hospital dedicated to women. For infants who need special care, Women's Hospital has a Level II and Level III neonatal intensive care unit. 

Job Description

LOCATION: Women's Hospital, WHG-Respiratory Care
CITY: Greensboro
JOB DETAILS: 
Exempt: No | FTE: 0.9 (36 hours/week) | Schedule: nights | On Call: YES
JOB SUMMARY: 
This position is responsible for providing quality Respiratory Care for patients, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics. Employees may be required to cover shifts at any of the Cone Health acute care hospitals. Employees will have access to pharmaceuticals on all campuses.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: 
Associates, Respiratory Therapy, Required
Required: Graduation from a 2-year school for Respiratory Therapy.
Educational requirements must be confirmed for all Respiratory Care Practitioners.
EXPERIENCE: 
Experience working in an acute care setting or completed acute care clinical rotations required.
Moses Cone, Wesley Long, High Point MedCenter, and Annie Penn Employees:
Experience in managing critical care patients preferred.
Alamance Regional Medical Employees:
Special care nursery experience preferred.
6 months of critical care experience preferred.
All Women's Hospital Employees
New hires or transfers to Women's Hospital must have at least 2 years of critical care experience.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: 
REQUIRED
BLS (CPR) | AHA Health Care Provider BLS
Drivers License | Valid Drivers License
Respiratory Therapists (practitioners) must have a national and a state credential.
National Credentials: Must be registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a RRT.
NC State Credentials: Must be licensed by the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board (NCRCB) as a CRT or a RRT. 
Regulatory:
All Women's Hospital Employees (Additional Requirements):
New employees are required to obtain Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) credential from the NBRC within one year of hire date or transfer date.
Moses Cone, Wesley Long, High Point MedCenter, Alamance Regional Medical Center, Annie Penn Employees:
ACLS certification required upon hire and must remain current. PALS certification required within the first three weeks of employment from date of hire and prior to any pediatric patient care. 
Women's Hospital employees must have ACLS upon hire and must remain current. In addition, new hires are required to complete the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire date or transfer date. 
All Alamance Regional Medical Employees 
(Additional Requirements):
NRP is required within 6 months of hire date or transfer

Additional Information

Position qualifies for shift differentials.  

NICU experience strongly preferred; or desire to learn and practice at the top of your license. 

*On-call is scheduled 6 weeks ahead of time. For on-call assignments: Candidates would need to report to the hospital within 2 hours of urgent notification 

Must obtain NPS within one year of hire.
