Main Activities and Responsibilities
The Content Services Stadium Manager (CSSM) will be responsible for the coordination of all non-live filming operations at an assigned FIFA World Cup 2026™ stadium. This position plays a key role in ensuring that the myriad film and TV crews and FIFA photographers present at every match, along with the ever-growing number of digital content creators are serviced to the highest professional standards. Also fundamental to the role is the communication of this activity to the relevant functional areas in the assigned stadium.
Key Responsibilities
Project Definition - Pre-Tournament
- Undertake a multi-day online training module, at the end of which all CSSM must be fully confident of the requirements of this role (dates TBC, expected April 2026)
Planning and Coordination - Pre-Match
- Along with the core FIFA Content Services team at the IBC, look ahead to each FIFA World Cup™ match taking place in the relevant stadium
- Collaborate closely with the FIFA Content Services core team, competition management, stadium management, and the Host Broadcaster to ensure all filming requests are viable and clearly communicated to all relevant areas
- Act as a primary point of contact between FIFA Content Services, competitions management, the stadium management team and non-live filming crews and FIFA photographers, facilitating smooth processes in the planning phase of filming
Operational Management - Matchday
- Maintain focus on the daily non-live content run-sheet, created in collaboration with the core FIFA Content Services team at the IBC
- Be the primary point of contact for, and coordinate a pre-match briefing with all non-live content creators. These can range from high-end film crews, to photographers, through to individual digital content creators filming on mobile phones
- Where necessary, escort crews to the correct filming positions. Ensure all relevant operational staff in these areas are aware of each crew's filming and photography plans
- Ensure all content creators comply with the previously communicated filming instructions, pre, during and post-match
- Ensure any filming and photography in competition areas during half-time and post match periods has been clearly communicated to all relevant stadium staff in particular the Match Director, FIFA Competition Management, FIFA Security and FIFA Media Operations. Should filming in these areas be required, the CSSM is required to maintain close control of each relevant crew
- In the event that content needs to be transferred post-match to the IBC, the CSSM will coordinate this with the relevant crew and the core Content Services team at the IBC
- Once all filming operations are complete, the CSSM must ensure that all crews and content creators leave the stadium as promptly as possible
Reporting and Evaluation
- Provide a short post-match report containing details of significant events - good and bad
- Provide further updates in short, scheduled calls with the core Content Services Team to help drive operational effectiveness
- Conduct a longer post-event assessment, evaluating non-live operations, identifying opportunities for successes and process improvement
Your Profile
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or similar level of higher education a benefit but a proven track record in similar roles is the most important factor
Work Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience and success in a highly pressured organisational role, preferably in a broadcast environment
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with diverse stakeholders
- Proven track record of performing under pressure in a dynamic, multicultural and time-critical environment
- Experience in major sports events, FIFA World Cup or other FIFA events will be an asset
- Familiarity and working experience with the stadium and city assigned are a plus
