Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to evaluate patients' mental health status, identifying strengths, challenges, and needs.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), tailored to each patient's unique circumstances.
  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and nursing staff to coordinate comprehensive care for patients, ensuring all health needs are addressed.
  • Support patients and their families by providing clear information regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and medication management.
  • Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions, utilizing a variety of evidence-based modalities to foster engagement and healing.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in conjunction with the treatment team, encompassing the goals and preferences of the patient.
  • Advocate for patients within the mental health system, assisting them in navigating resources and services to ensure they receive necessary care.
  • Lead psychoeducation sessions and therapeutic groups, addressing relevant topics to enhance patientsโ€™ understanding and coping strategies, especially during transitional phases like discharge planning.
Patient Population / Client Focus
