Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at FearFree Healthcare Solutions, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments and formulating tailored treatment plans that address both pre-crisis and crisis situations, including behavioral guidelines and risk assessments.
• Ensuring timely completion of clinical documentation that meets all regulatory standards, utilizing electronic record-keeping systems as applicable.
• Employing evidence-based screening tools to evaluate client needs and drive treatment effectiveness.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to design and enforce positive behavior support plans, enhancing overall patient care.
• Actively participating in licensing and accreditation processes to uphold our clinic's standards of excellence.
• Acting as a liaison between clients and community resources, state agencies, and service systems to facilitate holistic support.
• Cultivating professional relationships with local and state organizations to better promote our programs and seek new partnerships for funding and resources.
• Engaging in ongoing professional development by attending workshops, conferences, and statewide meetings aligned with mental health advocacy.
• Integrating and promoting the mission and values of FearFree Healthcare Solutions in all interactions and responsibilities.
• Performing additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to support overall clinic operations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The counselor will primarily serve clients from varied backgrounds facing challenges related to mental health, substance use issues, and disabilities. Our clients may have experienced significant life changes, trauma, or other barriers that impede their emotional and psychological well-being. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping these individuals develop coping strategies, achieve their therapeutic goals, and ultimately enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.
• An independent LMHC license granted by the state board of Florida is a must.
• Demonstrated capability to maintain accurate clinical records and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Proven ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team, fostering a spirit of collaboration.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong judgment skills with a history of making informed, independent decisions grounded in professional knowledge.

Preferred Experience
