Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping and using design tools such as Figma.
  • Experience designing creative tools or with Generative AI technologies.
  • Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

In this role, you will play a key role in evolving the flagship ecosystem for Google's foundational generative models, including Veo, Imagen, and Nano Banana. You will translate complex model capabilities into intuitive tools, contribute to immediate product iterations, and help define the long-term design goal for the future of creative expression.

Our team exists to help discover and create new ways to advance our core products through exploration and the application of new technologies. We work to build new solutions that have the potential to transform how users interact with Google. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders from early-stage concept development through iteration and execution.
  • Develop wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, and rapid prototypes to communicate key ideas and user journeys.
  • Design AI-first interactions and multimodal user experiences for consumer products across mobile and desktop platforms.
  • Integrate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product experience updates by leveraging UX research insights.
  • Drive design work towards key milestones while managing time, priorities, and cross-functional dependencies.
