In this role, you will understand both the execution and business aspects of our products, collaborating with leaders across UX, Engineering, and Product Management to create innovative experiences, leveraging your passion for brand, craft, and design quality.
As a UX Research Manager, you will lead the User Experience Research team for two of Google's key direct-to-consumer businesses: Google Fi and Google Store. As a player-coach, you will be responsible for guiding a team of researchers to deliver insights that shape product strategy, while also personally leading high-impact research initiatives. This individual will partner with leadership across Product, Design, Engineering, and Marketing to ensure the user is at the center of our product and business decisions.
In this role, you will lead the UX Research program for Google Fi, Google's wireless carrier, and Google Store, the e-commerce and physical retail platform for Google's hardware and services. The program's scope is global and comprehensive, covering the end-to-end customer journey from initial awareness and acquisition to long-term engagement and loyalty.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$274,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities
  • Drive the strategic growth initiatives for both Google Fi and Google Store, with a significant focus on foundational research to understand new customers.
  • Inform the product strategy for the online Google Store (e.g., store architecture, checkout, personalization) and shaping the omnichannel customer journey across Google's physical retail locations.
  • Lead research to improve the post-purchase ownership experience, including services like Pixel Care , device trade-ins, and user engagement with platforms like the My Pixel app.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of three UX Researchers, fostering their career development through dedicated coaching, performance reviews, and promotion support.
  • Define and execute the team's overall UX research strategy and multi-year roadmap, ensuring tight alignment with product priorities and business objectives.
