Job description

GIS Manager

The Geographic Information System (GIS) Manager develops workflows, defines policies, and plans deployment, development, and direction of the GIS Project and the GIS Management Office. Coordinates with County personnel to define and tailor GIS Project content to meet specific needs and requirements.

Position Type: Full Time

Office: Warrington, Malvern, or Easton, PA

Salary: $ 80,000 to $110,000 annually

Responsibilities
  • Perform business development to grow GIS throughout the company.
  • Presents GIS solutions to clients and peers.
  • Develop business proposals, scopes of work (SOWs), and other reports as required.
  • Organizes, tracks, and monitors all GIS project requests and corporate initiatives.
  • Plans, organizes, coordinates, and participates in the development and implementation of GIS Solutions.
  • Provides expertise, support, assistance, and technical guidance to team members and clients.
  • Conducts quality assurance reviews for GIS products and processes.
  • Stays up to date on GIS systems and products.
  • Researches, procures, and maintains datasets from federal, state, and local entities.
  • Assists with publishing web services, maps, and applications.
  • Uses ArcGIS to create accurate information products (e.g., maps, exhibits, reports, and electronic data deliverables).
Qualifications

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in GIS with management experience.
  • BA/BS degree from an accredited College or University in GIS, Geography, Planning, Natural Resources, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in the use of GIS solutions including advanced knowledge of leading-edge ESRI ArcGIS technology (ArcGIS Pro, Portal, Enterprise, Mobile).
  • Python, SQL and/or other coding experience.
  • Experience building and implementing ESRI solutions.
  • Knowledge of local municipal datasets and understanding of underground utility networks.
  • Experience with AutoCAD software operations and file formats is a plus.
  • Experience with research, writing and acquisition of grants.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to direct and supervise.
