At Align precision, this position plays a key role in manufacturing precision aerospace components while supporting quality, process consistency, and production efficiency across advanced machining operations.

This is a hands-on machining role focused on setup, operation, troubleshooting, inspection, and maintaining tight quality standards on complex aerospace components. The Work You'll Be Doing In this role, you will: Set up and operate CNC milling and turning centers Machine detailed aerospace components from blueprints, drawings, and work instructions Retrieve and review job routings, tool lists, and setup documentation Select appropriate tooling and workholding for various machining applications Monitor machine feeds, speeds, offsets, and tool performance Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring equipment Hold tight tolerances and verify part quality throughout production Deburr finished parts to meet quality specifications Document production quantities and required processes within the ERP system Assist with troubleshooting machining processes and improving production efficiency Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment Machines, Controls & EquipmentYou'll work with equipment such as: Machines: CNC Milling Centers - Mori Seiki (DMU, NTX, NMV) Prototype & Experimental Machining Inspection Equipment: Calipers Micrometers Precision Measuring Instruments Systems: ERP Manufacturing Systems Blueprint & Work Instruction Documentation Materials You'll Work With Aerospace Metals Titanium Incinel Aluminum Steel Alloys Stainless Steel Various Production & Prototype Materials What We're Looking ForRequired: 6–8 years of CNC machining experience Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Strong understanding of tooling, offsets, workholding, and machining processes Experience using calipers, micrometers, and precision inspection equipment Ability to hold tight tolerances and inspect parts accurately Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Comfortable working independently on medium to high complexity parts Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented Preferred: Aerospace manufacturing experience Experience machining prototype or unproven parts Exposure to process improvement initiatives Experience assisting with tooling or machining method development Why Machinists Like Working Here Machinists choose ALIGN PRECISION because of the technical work, clean manufacturing environment, and opportunity to work on advanced aerospace components.
