Mid-level System Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION
Kegman has an immediate opening for a Radar System Engineer in Huntsville, AL to support system engineering efforts on various programs for the Department of Defense (DoD).
Responsibilities:
  • System trade studies and associated analyses
  • Analyses of alternatives
  • System performance modeling and analyses
  • System Interface Design and associated Functional Modeling and Decomposition
  • Requirements Verification Test
  • Participate in engineering technical reviews
  • Document work artifacts in Engineering Data SDRL

Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience in system engineering on DoD programs
  • Radar signal processing, algorithm development, and AESA hardware/beam forming expertise; extensive MATLAB/Simulink modeling and performance analysis
  • Requirements definition, verification, and system architecture using DOORS/MBSE, SysML, and trade study techniques
  • End to end subsystem integration and test plan creation for radar system verification

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or related discipline

Desired Skills:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or related discipline
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience working on a geographically distributed team
  • Experience in technical leadership and/or mentoring of junior engineers

Other:
  • Must pass a drug test.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a U.S. Government-issued security clearance at time of hire.
