Target Earnings: $60,000 – $70,000+ Annually (Base Salary + Uncapped Commission & Bonuses)

We are seeking a driven, self-motivated Licensed Insurance Agent who wants more than just a typical sales job. This role includes a defined 2 to 3-year roadmap to agency ownership, giving you the hands-on mentorship and operational playbook needed to eventually run your own agency.

The Opportunity & Path to Ownership

  • Year 1 | Mastery & Production ($60k–$70k Target): Master Property & Casualty (P&C) and Life & Health (L&H) products. Drive outbound lead conversion, policy production, and client risk management.
  • Year 2 | Operations & Retention: Expand your role into client retention, cross-selling strategies, underwriting processes, and agency financial management.
  • Year 3 | Agency Transition: Work alongside leadership to prepare for running your own location—backed by the strength and reputation of Alfa Insurance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • New Business Production: Proactively prospect, follow up on warm leads, and leverage community networking to write new Auto, Home, Life, Farm, Commercial, and Health policies.
  • Client Consultation: Conduct thorough risk assessments for local families and commercial clients to build tailored coverage packages.
  • Account Management: Build lasting relationships with clients in Rome and surrounding areas, keeping retention high through excellent ongoing service.
  • Leadership Development: Shadow Agency Principal Ben McWhorter to learn the behind-the-scenes mechanics of running a profitable insurance practice.

Qualifications

  • Licensing: Active Georgia Property & Casualty (P&C) and/or Life & Health (L&H) licenses required (or the ability to pass state licensing exams within 30 days of offer).
  • Drive & Motivation: Entrepreneurial spirit with a strong desire to build a career, not just clock hours.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in sales, account management, or customer-facing roles (insurance background preferred, but sales drive and coachability matter most).
