Job description

Build the Future of Personal Communication with Alexa+
Come define what it means for AI to communicate on behalf of humans.
With over 600 million Alexa-enabled devices in customers' homes, Amazon is entering a new era-where advances in generative AI are transforming Alexa from a reactive assistant into a proactive, deeply personal communications partner. Alexa+ represents a step-change in how people connect: with each other, their communities, and the digital world.
At Alexa Connections, our mission is to build the most trusted AI communication layer in the world-one that helps customers get things done effortlessly while creating meaningful, human moments at scale.
We own end-to-end communication experiences across:
Household connection (Announcements, Drop-In)
Global communication (Video & voice calling, messaging, email, sharing)
AI-powered productivity (calendar/task extraction, intelligent summarization, proactive assistance)
We are also pioneering real-time, multimodal AI primitives that power experiences across the Amazon ecosystem-spanning Alexa, Fire TV, Ring, and beyond. Generative AI is not a feature here-it is foundational to how we build, ship, and scale.
Who You Are
A product leader with deep experience in communications, messaging, or conversational platforms (e.g., chat, voice, collaboration tools, or social products)
Proven track record of owning 01 and 1N product evolution at scale
Strong technical fluency in distributed systems, real-time communications, and/or AI/ML-powered products
Exceptional at navigating ambiguity and driving clarity across large, complex organizations
Known for customer obsession, high judgment, and crisp executive communication
Passionate about building products that are not just useful-but delightful, trusted, and human-centered
Key job responsibilities
Own the vision: Define and evangelize a bold, multi-year product strategy for AI-driven communication experiences
Build at platform scale: Create extensible primitives and experiences that span devices, surfaces, and modalities
Deliver business impact: Own adoption, engagement, revenue growth, and long-term ecosystem value
Drive complex execution: Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, science (ML/AI), design, and go-to-market
Make high-stakes tradeoffs: Balance innovation, technical investment, latency, privacy, and customer trust
Raise the bar on talent: Hire, mentor, and scale a world-class team of Technical Product Managers
Shape the narrative: Influence senior leadership and align stakeholders with clear, compelling communication
About the team
Alexa Connections is a highly distributed team across six Amazon approved sites

We have industry experts in real time communications, computer vision, media processing, consumer facing UX. We imbibe Amazon's Leadership Principles, hold each other accountable and have lots of fun while building a product billions of our users love. You will constantly help us foster a culture where everyone can do their best work.
