Job description

Lemontree Healthcare is seeking a vigilant Security Professional to ensure the safety and security of our healthcare outer building facility. The Security Professional will be responsible for monitoring premises, patrolling assigned areas, and responding to emergencies. This individual will play a key role in protecting staff, patients, visitors, and property while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor at all times.

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hrs a week
Schedule: Sunday to Wednesday
Shift: Sunday to Tuesday 7pm to 7am and Wednesday 7pm to 1am.
Pay Range: $15-$17

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrolling & Surveillance:
    • Conduct regular patrols of the facility, both inside and outside, to ensure the security of buildings, grounds, and parking areas.
    • Monitor surveillance equipment and security alarms, responding to alerts and incidents as needed.
    • Identify and report security risks, hazards, and violations, ensuring quick resolution or escalation to supervisors when necessary.
  • Access Control:
    • Monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring that only authorized personnel are allowed entry.
    • Conduct security checks on visitors, vendors, and contractors, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
    • Issue visitor badges and maintain accurate records of guest arrivals and departures.
  • Emergency Response:
    • Respond promptly to emergency situations such as fire alarms, medical emergencies, or security threats, following established protocols.
    • Assist in evacuations during emergencies and help direct individuals to safety.
    • Report incidents to the Security Services Supervisor or Director and document actions taken during emergencies.
  • Customer Service & Assistance:
    • Provide assistance and directions to staff, patients, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
    • Address any security-related concerns and ensure a visible security presence to promote a safe environment.
  • Assist with any non-security-related issues when necessary, contributing to the overall safety and well-being of individuals within the facility.
  • Incident Reporting & Documentation:
    • Maintain detailed, accurate records of all incidents, observations, and actions taken during shifts.
    • Complete daily log entries, noting relevant details about any irregularities or security concerns.
    • Prepare and submit written reports on incidents and security-related issues to supervisors.
  • Compliance & Safety:
    • Adhere to all security protocols, policies, and local regulations while on duty.
    • Participate in regular training on safety, emergency response, and security procedures.
    • Help maintain security equipment and alert supervisors to any malfunctioning or needed repairs.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or customer service is preferred but not required.
    • Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations or emergencies.
    • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with staff, visitors, and reporting incidents.
    • Ability to follow instructions and security procedures with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Certifications:
    • Security officer certification required.
    • CPR, First Aid, and other emergency response certifications are preferred.
    • Additional certifications, such as Certified Protection Officer (CPO), are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol the premises for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to respond quickly to emergencies and assist with physical intervention if necessary.
