Security Officer (Rover) – Commercial Property 77054

Part Time Schedule: 30 hours/week (Thursday - Saturday)

Shift: Thursday & Friday | 7:00AM - 6:00PM

Saturday | 3:00PM - 11:00PM

Location: 77054 Area (Houston, TX)

Pay Rate: $15.00

Security Officer (Rover) – Commercial Property Patrol

Are you professional, observant, and proactive? We are looking for a Security Officer (Rover) to help safeguard a high-traffic, gated commercial complex with multiple buildings, tenants, and vehicle access. As part of our team, you will be the first line of defense—patrolling the grounds by golf cart and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for tenants and visitors.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct regular patrols of parking areas, exterior perimeters, and shared property grounds using a golf cart
  • Monitor entry points and ensure only authorized vehicles and personnel access the site
  • Provide a visible security presence to deter incidents, vandalism, and unauthorized behavior
  • Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, emergencies, and tenant or visitor concerns
  • Write clear, detailed daily activity reports, incident reports, and other documentation
  • Communicate effectively with property management, and tenants
  • Enforce property rules, post orders, and company protocols
  • Serve as a courteous and professional point of contact for tenants and their guests, offering assistance as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a security role (commercial, gated community, or similar setting strongly preferred)
  • MUST live within 20 miles of site - 77054
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license (golf cart operation required)
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Strong judgment and decision-making abilities

Bonus Qualities (Preferred)

  • Previous experience in law enforcement, military, or private security
  • Familiarity with gated or commercial property security operations
  • Experience writing detailed incident and daily reports
