Coordinator, Talent Search 61 North
Essential Job Functions
  • Recruits program participants from Claiborne, Vicksburg-Warren, and Sharkey County School Districts
  • Coordinates services and activities
  • Facilitates workshops and coaches participants to persist, graduate and enroll in postsecondary education programs.
  • Assists with input of student and staff data for reporting requirements
  • Other related duties, as assigned
Licenses/Certifications: License or Professional credentials in relevant discipline (if applicable)
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree minimum, Master's degree preferred in counseling, education, higher education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with at-risk/disadvantaged students while increasing persistence, retention, and graduation rates, as well as promoting career exploration and financial education.
  • Must be able to construct tutoring schedules and establish and maintain positive and cooperative relationships with target school staff, participants, and the public.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
