Alcon is seeking an experienced marketing leader to serve as Director, U.S. Pharmaceutical Glaucoma Marketing, responsible for setting strategy and driving commercial execution for the U.S. glaucoma prescription portfolio. This role owns brand direction, lifecycle planning, launch excellence, and performance management while ensuring strong results today and building capability for the future.

The Director will directly lead two members of the Glaucoma marketing team and play a critical role in developing marketing talent, shaping culture, and driving crossfunctional alignment. The ideal candidate brings deep professional (HCPfocused) marketing expertise, strong people leadership skills, and a passion for advancing patient care through brand performance.

In this role, a typical day will include:

U.S. Brand Strategy & Portfolio Leadership

  • Set and own the professional marketing strategy for the U.S. glaucoma portfolio, ensuring clear positioning, messaging, and priorities across brands
  • Lead lifecycle planning and adapt strategy as market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscapes evolve

Annual Brand Planning & Commercial Integration

  • Lead the annual brand planning process, translating strategy into clear, executable commercial priorities
  • Ensure strong alignment across Sales, Market Development, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Training, Finance, and Global Marketing

Professional Marketing Execution

  • Oversee development and delivery of professional marketing programs that support HCP engagement and field execution
  • Ensure all tactics are high quality, on strategy, compliant, and delivered with consistency

Launch Excellence & Innovation

  • Lead U.S. launch planning and execution for new glaucoma products and line extensions
  • Partner with Global Marketing to localize global strategy for the U.S. market and identify innovative engagement opportunities

Performance Management & Business Ownership

  • Track brand performance and lead regular reviews to assess results and drive course correction
  • Partner with Finance to manage budgets and recommend investment shifts based on performance and insight

Insight Generation & Strategic Analysis

  • Leverage market research, field feedback, and business performance data to generate actionable insights
  • Translate insights into clear strategic decisions and proactive optimization

CrossFunctional Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Training, Finance, and Global partners
  • Lead through influence, clear communication, and aligned priorities

People Leadership & Talent Development

  • Directly lead, coach, and develop two members of the glaucoma marketing team
  • Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, support development planning, and build a highperforming, engaged team

What You Will Bring to Alcon:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18 yrs; Assoc.+14 yrs; M.S.+7 yrs; PhD+6 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • 10 Years of Relevant Experience
  • 6 Years of Demonstrated Leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Experience in ophthalmology, glaucoma, or specialty pharmaceuticals
