We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. Responsible for driving short-term Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) by monitoring demand and supply signals across the 0-13-week horizon, identifying exceptions (shortages, constraints, service risks), and coordinating timely recovery actions to ensure product is in the right place at the right time to fulfill customer orders. Maintains execution-critical planning settings (e.g., allocations, prioritization logic, ATP/availability assumptions) to support reliable order promising and prioritization. Partners cross-functionally (Customer Service, Commercial Operations, Finance, Operations, Logistics/Distribution) to align on near-term priorities, communicate changes, and prepare clear materials for S&OE huddles while tracking decisions and actions to closure.
In this role, a typical day will include:
  • Own the S&OE execution cadence for a defined scope (SKU/site/market); monitor short-term supply and customer demand signals across the 0-13-week period
  • Analyze and communicate week-over-week (and day-over-day as needed) changes in demand, supply, backlog, and inventory; quantify drivers and execution impacts
  • Maintain and validate execution-critical data and settings (allocation rules, prioritization logic, ATP/availability assumptions, order blocks/holds, and key planning parameters) to support reliable order promising
  • Partner with Customer Service, Commercial Operations, and Finance to validate near-term priorities (key customers, launches, promos), resolving order exceptions, and documenting execution decisions
  • Lead daily/weekly S&OE exception reviews by identifying shortages, capacity/logistics constraints, and service risks; recommend allocations, substitutions, expedites, and recovery actions
  • Coordinate with Operations, Logistics, and Distribution to align shipment plans and constraints; communicate changes quickly and ensure priorities are understood and executed
  • Ensure product is positioned in the right place at the right time to fulfill customer orders by aligning inventory deployment, ship plans, and priority allocations
  • Monitor and report S&OE execution KPIs (OTIF/fill rate, backlog and past-due orders, inventory availability, allocation adherence, and expedite drivers) and escalate risks with recommended actions
  • Prepare clear, concise execution-ready materials for S&OE huddles (exceptions, shortages, allocations, decisions, and actions) and track follow-ups to closure
  • Ensure adherence to GxP requirements by following SOPs, maintaining accurate documentation, and completing required training
  • Maintain complete and compliant records to support audit readiness and regulatory expectations
  • Drive continuous improvement by standardizing exception management, improving allocation/priority rules, and enhancing tools and reporting to increase S&OE effectiveness

What You Will Bring to Alcon:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • 2 Years of Relevant Experience
