This is an onsite position based at Alcon's Fort Worth, Texas Main Campus.

This role is part of Alcon's Finance, Accounting, and Audit function, a team dedicated to advancing Alcon's financial strategy and ensuring fiscal responsibility as we continue to transform the eye care industry.
The Senior Associate, Indirect Tax is primarily responsible for supporting sales and use tax compliance by ensuring accurate and timely tax filings and responding to customer tax inquiries. In this role, you will conduct independent research, apply advanced technical and analytical skills, and contribute to process improvements and project objectives. You will play a key role in supporting compliance efforts while helping optimize tax-related processes and outcomes across the organization.
In this role, a typical day will include:
  • Develop and test various analytics models such as Machine Learning, Mathematical Optimization and advanced analytics approaches to solve business problems
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of sales and use tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Support audit processes by gathering required documentation and resolving customer-related tax inquiries
  • Maintain records of tax filings and payments, ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws
  • Monitor changes to indirect tax regulations and update the team on relevant developments•
  • Support the implementation of policies and procedures designed to strengthen the organ

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs.; Assoc.+6 yrs.; M.S.+0 yrs.)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • 2 Years of Relevant Experience

Preferred requirements:
  • CPA or CMI preferred
  • 2 years or more of sales/use/property tax experience preferred
  • SAP and Vertex experience preferred
  • Diverse experience including industry knowledge of life sciences, medical device, and pharmaceuticals
