About Dacha Beer Garden

Dacha Beer Garden is expanding to Silver Spring, Maryland, and we are looking for an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead our newest location.

Dacha is known for high-volume hospitality, energetic outdoor spaces, great food and drinks, and a lively neighborhood atmosphere. Our venues are built around hospitality, community, teamwork, and memorable guest experiences. The General Manager will play a critical role in launching and leading the Silver Spring location, building the team, setting the culture, and ensuring operational excellence from day one.

About the Role

The General Manager is the senior on-site leader responsible for the overall success of the venue. This role oversees daily operations, guest experience, team development, financial performance, compliance, facilities, and service standards.

We are looking for a strong hospitality leader who is comfortable managing a large, fast-paced operation; developing managers and hourly team members; controlling labor and costs; and maintaining a visible floor presence during service. The right candidate will be organized, energetic, accountable, and capable of creating a positive culture while driving business performance.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead, coach, and develop a large front-of-house team.
  • Set the standard for hospitality, professionalism, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and consistent service.
  • Maintain an active presence on the floor, engaging with guests and supporting the team during service.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and retain high-performing managers and hourly employees.
  • Build a strong service culture through ongoing coaching, training, and performance feedback.
  • Manage labor, scheduling, payroll oversight, controllable expenses, and venue-level profitability.
  • Track key performance indicators, sales goals, guest satisfaction, labor cost, and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with ownership, culinary leadership, marketing, and events teams to support business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, labor, alcohol, and licensing requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness across all guest-facing and service areas.
  • Support private events, seasonal activations, marketing initiatives, and community engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, service, training, sales, and operational performance.
  • Help establish the service standards, team culture, and operating routines for a new location.
What We’re Looking For
  • 7–10 years of progressive hospitality management experience.
  • 3–5 years in a senior management or General Manager role preferred.
  • Experience managing high-volume restaurant, beer garden, bar, or upscale casual hospitality operations.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold teams accountable.
  • Proven ability to manage financial performance, labor cost, and operational controls.
  • Strong understanding of guest experience, service standards, and floor management.
  • Experience opening a new restaurant or leading a major launch is a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with POS, scheduling, reservation, payroll, inventory, and restaurant management systems.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and responsible alcohol service.
  • Alcohol Manager and Food Manager certifications required, or ability to obtain promptly.
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and professional during busy service periods.
Why Join Us
  • Opportunity to lead the opening of a new Dacha Beer Garden location.
  • High-energy, guest-focused hospitality environment.
  • Strong ownership support and opportunity to shape team culture from the beginning.
  • Growth opportunity within an established DC-area hospitality group.
  • A leadership role with meaningful impact on operations, brand reputation, and business performance.
