Construction Manager -

Unified Business Technologies is a full-service general contractor for construction projects in our National Parks. We are seeking a Construction Manager with to join our team!

The ideal candidate will have experience in the Commercial and or Recreational construction industry, be a self-starter, have strong communication skills, and be able to manage multiple projects at one time.

This project will Stabilize and Rehabilitate Alcatraz Island Historic Structures


Location: Alcatraz Island, San Francisco, CA, Golden Gate National Recreation Area.


The scope of this project includes:

  • This project will address deterioration and structural deficiencies associated with the Alcatraz Main Prison Building. Work focuses on the Hospital Wing and on the exterior walls.
  • Efforts will abate hazardous materials in the exterior walls and interior construction areas, repair concrete spalls, replace deteriorated steel reinforcement, strengthen unreinforced concrete foundation walls, repair, and stabilize exterior windows, install storm windows, apply an elastomeric coating on the exterior walls, and ensure interior and exterior finishes match the existing color and texture of adjacent surfaces.
  • This project will make Historic Preservation and safety improvements to the National Historic Landmark building to ensure the continuation of interpretive programs and the long-term use of entry/egress components through which the majority of the island's 1.4 million annual visitors pass when entering and leaving the Cellhouse building.
  • We are seeking a skilled Construction Manager to oversee and manage the construction project from inception to completion.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including Engineering Technicians and Contractors, to ensure timely submission and review of project schedules.
    Conduct detailed analysis of contractor schedules, comparing completion dates to project milestones and identifying potential delays.
  • Review and evaluate construction contracts, proposing reasonable construction durations.
    Oversee project progress, ensuring contract compliance and resolving any issues that may arise.
    Provide analysis schedules, critical path method, and software usage to project team members.
