About this opportunity:

Cenovus is seeking a Financial Analyst to joinour team in the Dublin office. This position bridges commercial and accounting operations, supports strategic decision-making through financial analysis and forecasting, and ensures the integrity of financial records, regulatory reporting, and compliance obligations in a dynamic trading environment.

Whatyou'lldo:

  • Financial accounting and reporting for physical and financial commodity transactions.

  • Month-end close activities, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, balance sheet integrity, and intercompany and intersegment profit processes.

  • Inventory accounting, FIFO calculations, inventory valuation, and reconciliations; transportation and storage accounting, netback calculations, and profitability analysis.

  • Renewable Identification Number (RIN) accounting and renewablefuelscompliance reporting.

  • Financial forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning, performance management reporting, economic-to-financial P&L reconciliation, variance analysis, KPI reporting, benchmarking, and government/customs reporting.

  • Collaboration with front, middle, and back-office commercial teams;utilizationand support of Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systems.

Whoyou are:

  • Legally authorized to work in the US.

  • Bachelor's degree in finance/accountingrequired, CPA/MBA an asset.

  • 4+ years of progressive experience in accounting, business/financial analysiswith advanced Excel & SAP skills

  • Finance experience in oil and gas marketing/trading, including exposure to RINs accounting, renewable fuels compliance, or environmental commodities accountingan asset
