Job description

Corridor Flow in Lomita, Ca is looking for hospitable, passionate and self-driven crew members to be part of our growing company. A crew member will also be someone who is flexible, hard-working, has great communication skills and high integrity. Crew members are expected to balance three main roles that shift constantly between intentional community building, completing tasks, and providing excellent food/coffee service to our customers.

Community: First and foremost, each crew member serves the community as the face of hospitality. He/She shows care for the community by ensuring customers are given a friendly and welcoming experience, and an opportunity to sit and enjoy the creative space. The ideal person not only works well with other staff, but also has a willingness to connect with customers. This person not only shares the same values and overall vision of the shop, but also conducts their day-to-day tasks towards the same goals.

Tasks: Each crew member is expected to thoroughly understand the day-to-day tasks of the shop, and with the help of other crew members, ensure all daily tasks are completed in a timely manner. Tasks include but are not limited to, inventory being kept appropriately stocked and organized, all kitchen smallware, appliances and equipment are properly used and maintained, general cleaning in and around the shop including restrooms, patios and CoFlow space as well as deep cleaning tasks. Crew members should not only be active and keen on the upkeep of daily tasks while on shift, but also ensure that tasks are done well. 

Food/Coffee: Each crew member serves as the person in charge of ensuring that all Drinks and Eats are served accurately as described on recipe, timely and presentable. The crew member will be responsible for quality coffee drinks on a consistent and timely basis. The crew member will be responsible in preparing food to order, portioning off ingredients, and making any house-made syrups, sauces, and other non-cooked recipes, all while upholding food safety standards and shop standards. Crew members will also be trained baristas who will understand, uphold, and highlight our coffee being specialty grade coffee and will serve a well extracted, balanced, integrated beverage.


Qualifications

  • Proven working 1 YEAR EXPERIENCE minimum required in Specialty Coffee/hospitality services
  • Hardworking and teachable
  • High integrity with a great attendance record
  • Strong attention to detail along with peripherals
  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively in a team setting
  • Flexible & hospitable; able to adapt to customer and shop needs
  • A commitment and desire for long term growth in the company
