ABOUT THIS POSITION

Job Description Summary
We're looking for a Data Enablement + Governance Manager to lead and mature our enterprise-wide data governance strategy and practices. In this role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring our data is accurate, secure, and used responsibly across the organization. You'll drive initiatives that establish and reinforce data standards, compliance protocols, and a strong culture of data stewardship.
You will be responsible for developing and managing governance frameworks, partnering with cross-functional teams to define policies and accountability models, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal data quality requirements. Your work will directly impact our ability to make informed, data-driven decisions by maintaining the integrity, consistency, and trustworthiness of our operational and analytical data assets.
The ideal candidate has deep experience in data governance, a strong understanding of compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.), and the ability to lead enterprise-wide initiatives. This role is a great fit for someone who thrives at the intersection of data strategy, collaboration, and regulatory rigor.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead the development and execution of a scalable data governance strategy aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements

  • Define and enforce enterprise-wide data quality standards and ensure consistent implementation across business units

  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of data governance artifacts including policies, data dictionaries, lineage documentation, and metadata repositories

  • Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and technical teams to develop and manage data classification, access controls, and lifecycle policies

  • Drive the implementation and adoption of data governance platforms and tools to support governance workflows and automation

  • Facilitate data quality issue resolution through root cause analysis, remediation planning, and ongoing monitoring

  • Support operational teams by providing guidance on data standards and assisting in the resolution of data quality gaps

  • Track, report, and communicate data governance metrics, risks, and progress to executive stakeholders

  • Stay current with regulatory changes and industry best practices, continuously evolving the governance program to meet emerging needs

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • You embody our values, promote data accountability, and lead with a collaborative mindset

  • You have a bachelor's degree in data governance, information management, business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)

  • You bring 7+ years of experience in data analytics, data quality, or enterprise information management

  • You have demonstrated experience with data governance frameworks, data stewardship models, and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)

  • You're proficient with governance tools and technologies, such as Collibra, Informatica, Alation, or equivalent platforms

  • You have experience implementing and maintaining data quality measurement frameworks and KPIs

  • You excel at cross-functional collaboration, translating technical data governance practices into actionable guidance for business partners

  • You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
