Join OshkoshAeroTechas a Maintenance Repair Technician I, where you will helpmaintain, troubleshoot, and repair Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs) and related gate equipment. This role responds to routine equipment faults, outages, and service interruptions; performs preventive maintenance and standard corrective repairs; andassistssenior technicians with more complex repairs.

YOUR IMPACT

These duties are not meant to beall-inclusiveand other duties may be assigned.

  • Respond to passenger loading bridge and ancillary equipment faults, malfunctions, and outages.

  • Use manuals, schematics, testing equipment, and supervisor guidance to diagnose issues, replace parts, and restore equipment operation.

  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and standard mechanical/electrical repairs on passenger loading bridges, PCA systems, GPUs, and related gate equipment.

  • Escalate complex failures, controls issues, repeat problems, safety concerns, or repairs requiring approval.

  • Assistsenior technicianswith complex repairs, emergency maintenance, and escalated issues.

  • Document work performed, equipment status, parts used, and repair activity in CMMS.

  • Follow OEM procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, airport rules, company policies, PPE requirements, and all applicable safety/training requirements.

  • Maintain tools, equipment, parts, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.

  • Support 24/7 airport operations, including nights, weekends, holidays, emergency response, and work in ramp areas, tight spaces, and elevated areas as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Driver'sLicense.

  • Ability to obtainandmaintainnecessaryairportsecurity clearances.

  • Minimum 1 year of mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance, airport equipment, or related experience; ordemonstratedmechanical aptitude.

  • Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions, work orders, repair manuals, basic schematics, and safety procedures.

  • Ability to work variable schedules to support 24/7 airport operations, including day or night shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments as needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance, airport equipment, or related experience may be considered.

  • Previousairport, aviation, industrial maintenance, field service, or facility maintenance experience.

  • Familiarityof motors, sensors, control panels, PLCs, HMIs, mechanical drives, and electrical schematics.

  • Experience using CMMS software.

  • Basic computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of the Maintenance Repair Technician I, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to climb, balance, work from ladders, and work in small or elevated spaces. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

This role requires the ability to work in outside weather conditions on an airport ramp, aroundaircraft, and near passenger boarding bridges and related gate equipment. Specific vision abilitiesrequiredinclude close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Good hand-eye coordination isrequired.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment issimilar toairport operations with vehicular traffic,aircraftactivity, and heavy equipment. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, elevated work areas, outside weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, chemicals, cold, vibration, and loud noise. Employees will work on an airport ramp aroundaircraftand related airport equipment.
