JOB TITLE: Wire Design and Installation Engineer 3
LOCATION: Long Beach, CA
PAY RATE: $78.00/hour

Summary: 

  • Designs and develops electrical systems including equipment racks, power panels, cable routing, and antenna configurations for commercial aircraft modifications.

  • Creates and maintains detailed designs for cable and wire harness assemblies.

  • Works with customers and suppliers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.

  • Documents processes, specifications, and procedures that support the design and manufacturing of electrical commodities.

  • Reviews supplier technical data to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.

  • Provides technical support and troubleshooting to airlines and modification sites.

  • Collaborates with multi-disciplinary engineering teams in an agile environment.

  • Engages in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Applies knowledge of computer aided design tools including CATIA, Mentor Graphics, and Unigraphics.

  • Applies knowledge of verification, validation, certification, and qualification processes including DO-160 and D6 requirements.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with focus in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aeronautical, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.

  • 5+ years of related work experience in electrical design and integration.

  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications including blueprints and schematics.

  • Knowledge of computer aided design tools and systems including CATIA, Mentor Graphics, and Unigraphics.

  • Experience designing electrical systems including equipment racks, power panels, cable routing, and wire harness assemblies.

  • Experience documenting processes, specifications, and procedures for electrical commodities.

  • Experience reviewing supplier technical data for system integration and compliance.

  • Knowledge of verification, validation, certification, and qualification processes including DO-160 and D6 requirements.

  • Ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data, and summarize findings for engineering decisions.
