Position: .NET Developer

Location: Ft. Worth, TX

Duration: 5 Months Contract, Potential Conversion into Long contract

Summary: 

Programmer/Analyst supporting the business operations of American Eagle, the regional airlines flying for the American Airlines brand. This position may involve any portion of the IT life cycle, including requirements and analysis, but will primarily focus on technical aspects (design/coding): 

- Web site and web services development using ASP.Net and Oracle 10/11 database 

- Integration of commercial off the shelf software with other internal systems 

- Design and build mobile applications and/or services in support of mobile technologies 

- Manage data exchanges with internal departments and external business partners 

The optimal candidate will be capable of discussing business issues or opportunities, and assist in designing a logical and technical solution that meets or exceeds expectations. 


Qualifications

Education/Experience 

Bachelor degree required, preferably in computer science or business 

Minimum 1 1/2 years post college experience required 


Responsibility level 

o Exercises moderate independent judgment with direction from supervisor 


Skills 

Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills 

Ability to communicate effectively with and between technical IT specialists and non-technical field management. Business acumen to assist in designing solutions to business problems. 

Self-motivated individual with strong desire to solve problems through investigative means 

Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time (Required) 

Strong programming skills using ASP.Net (web sites and web services) using SQL/Oracle relational database 

Front end user interface design (HTML/HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript) - desired but not required 

Windows Server 2008 and IIS configuration 

Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) desired 

Experience integrating systems using MQ Series queues desired 


Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance 

Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints 

Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met 

Production support of integration components
