Job description

DESCRIPTION OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Responsible for all aspects of catering up to and including loading equipment on to the truck, driving the truck to the A/C, loading galleys according to customer guidelines, offloading dirty equipment, and placing dirty equipment and trash in designated area. Must adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines. Ability to interpret and comprehend Menu and Flight Galley Specifications. Follows all Ramp Safety and AOA Safety and Security Rules and Regulations. Other assigned work as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Must be able to work in hot and/or cold environment
  • Must be able to walk/stoop/ bend/ stand for entire work shift
  • Must have good organizational skills and adaptable to frequent changes
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check to obtain airport SIDA/AOA badge
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs or push heavy loads using rolling stock
  • Must be able to use fingers & hands to handle equipment
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record
  • Must successfully complete on-the-job driver training program
  • Must possess interpersonal, communication and customer service skills with a profession appearance and attitude
  • Must be able to apply safety standards
  • Must be able to use mobile shelving, carts, ramps, and related airline catering equipment
  • Must be flexible to work in a 24/7 environment which includes nights, weekends and holidays subject to change due to shift bidding
