Job Description:

The Senior STC Project Manager role is a critical position within the Airbus Upgrades Business line. The job holder is responsible for planning, leading and executing all activities associated with the delivery of commercial aircraft cabin modifications of Airbus aircraft in service.

The Senior STC Project Manager works closely with Airline Customers, maintenance facilities (MRO's) and internal Airbus STC solutions engineering and supply chain experts to deliver an end to end solution for the Airline.

The Engineering Center in Mobile, Alabama houses hundreds of Airbus engineers who assist in the design and development of Airbus commercial aircraft cabins, including aftermarket upgrades, reconfigurations and services of all product types across the globe.

Your challenges:

  • Manage a portfolio of small/medium/large cabin STC projects in front of Customers from contract signature until project closure.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans and master schedules, including timelines, milestones, and critical paths.

  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the project, ensuring milestones are met.

  • Accountable for the timely delivery of a complete, accurate cabin solution to the Customer.

  • Give visibility to all project members/stakeholders according to the project progress.

  • When required, assist the Customer preparing the upgrade solution embodiment and support the embodiment phase.

  • Provide support to Offer Managers for new offers and generate delta offers.

  • Conduct continuous risk / opportunity assessments, developing mitigation strategies when required.

  • Contribute to the Airbus upgrade organization profitability and manage the P&L for the individual projects, including execution within the predefined budget and invoicing.

  • Provide technical support to sales to ensure offers Customer acceptance in accordance with AOP targets.

  • Lead projects cross-functional teams consisting of engineering, supply chain, certification.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the Customers and internal MFT.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the upgrade operating system and the increase of the competitiveness of the cabin offering.

Your boarding pass:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aeronautical, Civil, Electrical) or a Business-related field.

  • Minimum of 9 years of experience within the aviation industry.

  • Authorized to Work in the US.

  • Airbus aircraft general knowledge.

  • Experience in cabin modifications and upgrade processes.

  • Demonstrated business and technical acumen and the leadership skills to successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Experience in Customer support.

  • Autonomously takes initiative with proven high motivation and flexibility to work in a highly demanding environment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to lead and work with multidisciplinary teams in a collaborative team environment with a diverse international workforce.

  • Ability to build and maintain an internal network with colleagues globally.

  • Understanding of commercial environment and industrial processes

  • Experience in continuous improvement

  • Presentation Excellence: Demonstrated ability to condense highly complex, technical aircraft data into clear, detailed presentations tailored for both engineering teams and external customer executives.

  • Collaboration: Strong active listening and interpersonal skills with a proven track record of guiding diverse, international workforces toward a common goal.

  • Autonomy: Highly motivated self-starter who naturally takes initiative and maintains flexibility in a high-demand, high-urgency operational environment.

Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Daily

Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. At Least Once a Month

Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. Daily
