POSITION PURPOSE
Supports Aircraft on Ground (AOG), Maintenance and Supply Chain with critical part requirements by fulfilling variable demands that impact the operation. Analyzes need and sources aircraft parts, initiates purchase orders, expedites existing orders and coordinates logistics to meet immediate and future requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Provides 24/7 first response to Maintenance and Maintenance Control on AOG material requirements. Analyzes, recommends and coordinates the most cost effective and time efficient means of movement of parts and materials to support operational needs.
  • Provides strategic optimization of all line allocations to ensure the maximum material coverage to support operational reliability goals for rotable, repairable, expendable, and critically stocked items.
  • Provides management with accurate and timely analytics and metrics necessary to enable informed and strategic business decisions regarding critical parts.
  • Analyzes trends in departmental purchase orders, reviews current minimum / maximum levels and notifies Inventory Planning regarding adjusting levels.
  • Provides input and feedback on initial and on-going provisioning for active fleets and reviews to ensure adequate spare inventory to meet operational requirements.
  • Coordinates with contracted maintenance providers to solve aircraft discrepancies discovered at stations where Republic maintenance is not present.
  • Coordinates and plans parts requirements for overnight aircraft maintenance tasks and daytime work.
  • Coordinates with Warranty and Repair expeditor to request parts and materials be expedited from repair to support scheduled and unscheduled events.
  • Reviews inventory levels of all critical parts at bases daily; restocks these parts by moving the needed supply to ensure ongoing availability. Coordinates the movement of aircraft engines to and from the bases and vendors.
  • Verifies accuracy of requested part. Identifies cross reference and interchangeable parts and consults Engineering for approval to use.
  • Identifies opportunities for cost savings and service improvements.
  • Provides excellent and timely customer service to Maintenance Control, Purchasing, MRO Managers, Planning and Material Services.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.
  • Bachelor's degree required. 4 or more years of experience in airline industry or supply chain or related area may be substituted for the formal degree.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office products and dashboards.
  • Able to analyze cost drivers and develop/implement cost reduction strategies.
  • Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and apply principles of logical thinking and mathematical formulas to draw valid conclusions
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, Illustrated Parts Catalogs and Electronic Manuals and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to handle simultaneous projects and adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays and days-off required

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Aviation, Supply Chain, Materials Management, Purchasing, etc. Prefer at least 3 years of experience in airline industry.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Able to read, analyze, and interpret general technical information, manufacturer's manuals and parts manuals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, internal customers, and suppliers.
REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY
Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Makes decisions daily on use of resources. Decisions could require additional expenditure of resources if not sound decisions.
