Aircraft Maintenance Technician, Associate/Specialist
City: West Lafayette
Job Description:
Job Summary
The Associate Aircraft Maintenance Technician serves as an FAA-certified airframe and powerplant mechanic, responsible for performing required inspections and maintenance on all aircraft assigned to the School of Aviation & Transportation Technology. This role involves completing FAA-mandated repairs, maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Additional duties include supporting the daily operation of the Purdue University aircraft fleet through tasks such as towing, deicing, cleaning, fueling, hangaring, and maintaining security. The technician also assists with the upkeep of ground support equipment and facilities, and contributes to administrative tasks such as maintaining maintenance logs and monitoring service bulletins, manuals, and FAA regulations.
This is a dual posting- SK1 (Associate) OR SK2 (Specialist); hiring decisions will be based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.

The anticipated annual salary for this position is $55,000 (Associate) and $65,000 (Specialist) commensurate with the candidate's education and experience. The final salary offer will be determined based on a variety of factors, including equity, available budget, educational background, and relevant experience.
