Job description

This position is responsible for the installation, modification, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft interior avionics systems and components, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, OEM specifications, and company standards.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Install, remove, and/or modify avionics interior systems, including cabin management systems (CMS), in-flight entertainment (IFE), lighting, switches, displays, wiring harnesses, and related components.
  2. Interpret and follow drawings, wiring diagrams, maintenance manuals, and work instructions.
  3. Route and terminate wiring, connectors, and components inside aircraft cabins.
  4. Perform functional and operational tests on interior avionics systems.
  5. Ensure all removals and installations are performed in compliance with manufacturer specifications and MRO procedures.
  6. Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and airworthiness standards.
  7. Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning systems during maintenance checks and after installation.
  8. Document all work performed in accordance with FAA regulations and company policies.
  9. Ensure safe work practices and cleanliness of the work area.
  10. Support aircraft return-to-service efforts following inspections or installations.
  11. Function test seats and cabinets prior to removal. Note any discrepancies as instructed.
  12. Fit and trim new cabinets to aircraft.
  13. Sheet metal work to include installation of brackets and modifications.
  14. Re-upholster aircraft components and re-install in aircraft.
  15. Follow Repair Station and ISO requirements.
  16. Painting of small parts.
  17. Help with other miscellaneous interiors projects.

Education and Experience:

  • 2-5 years sheet metal and aircraft interior installation experience required.
  • Bombardier and Global experience preferred.
  • Possess exceptional internal and external customer service skills
  • Able to work required schedule without deviation
  • Meet the requirements of Airport Authority to be receive a badge and have no ramp restrictions

Communication Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions and or aircraft blueprints. Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Good grammar and spelling skills.

Mathematical Skills:

Basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Must have valid Class C drivers license with a good driving history.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Frequent periods of walking, sitting, rotation, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching.

Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs, and occasional lifting up to and over 100 lbs.

Work Environment:

Frequent exposure to general shop conditions.

Frequent exposure to airborne particles and small enclosed areas i.e. small aircraft interiors.

Occasional exposure to seasonal weather.
