M1 is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic I - Fuels who will conduct daily fuel shop operations. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Assists with troubleshooting. Maintains, services, and Inspects aircraft fuel systems, components, and related support equipment. * Removes, installs, and conducts functional tests of repaired aircraft systems and components. * Inspects and identifies aircraft for corrosion prevention and repair. * Reads and interprets manufacturers and aircraft's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. * Performs periodic and other hourly or calendar inspections as required. * Receives technical guidance from Managers, Supervisors, Leads or higher-level technicians as required. * May be required to assist with writing/initiating engineering technical assistance requests. * May be required to obtain and maintain special certifications required by AFI as directed by management. * Reviews and completes forms documentation pertinent to aircraft or equipment maintenance, enters maintenance actions into applicable MIS system and will make entries in forms, logs, records, or electronic equivalent as required. * Complete all assignments and tasks as directed by managers, supervisors, leads, and more senior technicians. * Performs housekeeping duties within 100 feet of assigned work areas (excluding bathrooms). * Performs vehicle use inspections, cleaning, and wash. * Performs any other supportive duties as assigned. * May be required to work in other work sections throughout the contract. Qualifications and Experience: * High school diploma or GED is required. Mathematics skills are desirable * Minimum of 4 years performing as a USAF or sister service fighter aircraft Fuel System technician. * Working knowledge of MIS systems, forms documentation and strict adherence to aircraft technical data is required. * All fuels personnel must be able to pass a color vision test. * Must be able to obtain and maintain respirator qualification.
