**Aircraft Avionics / Electrical Technician**
**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Avionics or Electrical & Environmental (E&E) Systems Technician to maintain, repair, install, and troubleshoot aircraft electrical systems and related equipment. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with wiring, connectors, conduit, and electrical diagnostics—preferably with prior military service (USAF 7-level or equivalent journeyman) and 2–4 years of MOD experience. Fighter aircraft experience is a plus.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Terminate, route, and build connectors and cannon plugs.
- Repair, construct, install, troubleshoot, and maintain aircraft electrical systems and equipment.
- Cut, thread, bend, couple, and strap conduit; cut wire and conduit to required lengths.
- Install, repair, or replace switch boxes, lights, plugs, sockets, fuses, and extension cords.
- Disassemble motors, generators, and related equipment in preparation for repair.
- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions; inspect circuits, wiring, shielding, and grounding.
- Test electrical equipment for safety, efficiency, and proper operation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, layouts, technical data, and specifications.
- Use electrical hand tools and voltage/amperage measuring and recording devices.
**Required Qualifications**
- Prior military experience as USAF 7-level (or equivalent journeyman) in avionics or electrical/environmental systems.
- 2–4 years of MOD (Ministry of Defense / military operations or maintenance) experience.
- Proven ability to terminate, route, and fabricate connectors/cannon plugs.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft electrical systems, wiring practices, shielding, grounding, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to work from technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Proficiency with electrical hand tools and diagnostic/test equipment.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Fighter aircraft experience.
- Experience with aircraft environmental systems (where applicable).
- Additional certifications or training related to avionics or aircraft electrical systems.
