Position Overview:
Join our dynamic team as a Project Administrator at our facility located in Mount Vernon, Indiana. In this critical support role, you will provide administrative support for the project management team. As a member of our Program Management Team, you will provide, monitor and communicate accurate and timely information ensuring that decisions can be made to ensure contract requirements and industry standards are met or exceeded.

Your Day to Day as a Project Administrator:
  • Will be assigned a collection of individual contracts to manage and oversee within a larger program. Will work very closely with the Project Manager and fellow Project Administrators.
  • Performs regular financial analysis and review of assigned contracts.
    • Analyze financial performance to monthly and annual projections.
    • Modifies financial projections as needed.
    • Works closely with accounting to review projections and justify contract overruns/underruns.
    • Reconciles contract charge problems.
  • Communicate with the customer on a daily basis to manage Purchase Orders, Contract Requirements and Invoices.
  • Interfaces with customer representatives for problem identification and resolution.
  • Assists Project Manager with coordinating multiple project meetings, submittals, and assignments.
  • Participates in estimating process with appropriate departments.
  • Assists Contracts Department in proposal efforts to ensure data is made available from the functional departments.
  • Assists Project Manager in preparing a project plan which provides for the control of project cost, schedule and documentation requirements.
  • Monitors project progress on items designated by Project Manager such as cost, schedule, documentation and material use projections.
  • Initiates contract close-outs.
  • Interfaces with all levels of BWXT management team to communicate project status and items of concern.
  • Reports to Project Manager. May serve as a delegate when the Project Manager is away from the office.
  • Prepares presentation materials for customer and supplier meetings. Prepare routine reports for Project Manager.
  • Assist and/or take lead on Project Risk management, including identifying project risk, managing the mitigation process, and following up with action owners to ensure timely completion and implementation of risk mitigation strategies.

Required Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree with two years of related experience or a minimum of 6 years of related experience in a technical manufacturing environment will be accepted in lieu of education requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of team and as an individual contributor and communicate effectively to both internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience with EVMS.
  • Prior experience with SAP.

Pay: $70,000 - $103,000.00
The base salary range for this position in Indiana (US-IN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $70,000 and $103,000.00 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
