CBS Colorado is looking for a journalist who loves morning news and is passionate about helping viewers start their day informed and prepared.  We are searching for an energetic Morning Show Traffic Anchor and MMJ. This role requires confidence in a studio environment, the ability to deliver clear and engaging live traffic reports, and the versatility to report on transportation, growth, and development stories across platforms. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable filling in as an anchor when needed.


Responsibilities
   Deliver urgent, accurate, and timely live traffic reports from both virtual and traditional studio sets
   Create content for streaming platforms, digital stories, and social media
   Keep viewers informed about construction, transportation, and growth-related issues through compelling storytelling
   Report clearly, accurately, and responsibly in live and recorded settings
   Enterprise and develop transportation- and community-focused stories
   Collaborate with newsroom teams to support morning news coverage
Qualifications
   3-5 years of experience as a reporter, anchor, or live traffic anchor
   Proven ability to shoot, write, and edit broadcast-quality packages
   Strong live reporting, ad-libbing, and breaking news skills
   High energy, engaging on-air personality suited for morning television
   Willingness and ability to work early morning shifts
   College degree required, preferably in Journalism or a related field

   A valid driver's License is required.

Hiring Salary Range: $80,000.00 - 90,000.00. 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
