Job description

Job Title: Air Export Specialist

Job Location: San Francisco, California

As an Air Export Specialist, you will be responsible for the movement of our customer's air export shipments.  You will coordinate and be the main point of contact for our outbound Air Export shipments from initial customer contact to final destination. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strong Understanding of Air Export regulation and documentation is preferred
  • Pro-active and solution-oriented mindset, always demonstrating a "can do " attitude
  • Very strong attention to details excellent  communication both (written and oral) essential
  • Coordinates with overseas offices and domestic agents as necessary.
  • Helps facilitate air shipment arrangements, determining efficient routing methods, bookings, and deliveries to meet the customer's expectations.
  • Utilizes their customer service knowledge and experience to proactively update the customer and address questions regarding the status of their shipments.
  • Daily check list task completed to ensure KPI goals are met by Global standards.
  • Tracks and traces shipments from door to door (as applicable) and maintains timely milestone updates in Cargowise.
  • Answers customer inquiries independently; helps resolve problems and creates solutions.
  • Maintains status updates and supporting notes in Cargowise and Salesforce.
  • Works with dispatch on a daily basis and maintain communication with various transportation and warehouse agents.
  • Uphold all TSA standard and requirements in accordance to IACSSP program

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficient use of computer systems and applications (MS Office, Teams, Word, Excel, Cargowise, Exworks, TMS, EDM) as trained/required.
  • Must work independently and minimal supervision, makes use of time and resources. Takes personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work.
  • Consistently exhibits flexibility in resolving customer problems in a timely manner. Exercises good judgment in resolving general disputes or problems.
  • Able to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members to achieve common goals. Sees opportunities to supports other team members.
  • Able to express ideas and information clearly, concisely, and accurately both verbally and in writing. Demonstrates active listening and seeks to understand other perspectives.
  • Approaches problems with a solution focused mindset and uses judgment to resolve issues. Assists with finding root cause and implements process improvements.
  • Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and efficiency. Plans and organizes work, manages time well, handles multiple tasks simultaneously, and completes initiatives with minimal errors. Meets productivity goals set by management

Pay Rate: $29.00-32.00/hr. in accordance with the CBA

(60 day probation period)


Job type:

Full Time - in office (Monday - Friday )

Hours : 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. or 12:00 p.m.  - 8:00 p.m.

All work must be completed daily (Should be known, overtime may be required and expected)
