Job description

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Assist with the installation of commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, air handlers, condensing units, exhaust fans, make-up air units, VAV boxes, and related mechanical equipment.

  • Install and modify ductwork, equipment supports, and associated HVAC components under project specifications.

  • Assist with equipment replacements and retrofit installations on commercial construction projects.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, specifications, and installation manuals.

  • Perform routine installation tasks independently while seeking guidance on more complex assignments.

  • Assist with equipment startup, testing, and commissioning activities.

  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and project specifications are met.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of work completed, materials used, and project progress.

  • Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to support project schedules.

  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.

  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and job site safety requirements.

  • Participate in ongoing technical training and apprenticeship coursework to develop HVAC installation knowledge and skills.
